EURO 2016: ENGLAND 1 ICELAND 2, SHOCKER AS THREE LIONS CRASH OUT

England crashed out of the ongoing Euro 2016 tournament as they were beaten by Lars Lagerback's Iceland team, a former coach of the Nigeria Super Eagles.

Goals from Ragnar Sigurdsson and Kolbeinn Sigthorsson sealed one of the most embarrassing results in English football history, as the Three Lions went down 2-1 to Iceland.

Roy Hodgson's men appeared in line for a routine win when Wayne Rooney converted from the spot just four minutes in.

But Sigurdsson hit back immediately as he turned in from a long throw, and Sigthorsson sent the tiny nation into ecstasy when he grabbed an 18th minute lead which England were incapable of overturning throughout the 90 minutes.
